How To Make Homemade Skillet Croutons

- 1 loaf of bread about 12 ounces, cut into ¾-inch cubes
- 2 Tablespoons of Butter salted
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning homemade or store bought
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ teaspoon fine sea salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 Tablespoons grated Parmesan Cheese optional
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add butter and olive oil. Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix to combine.
Add bread cubes. Stir to coat. Continue stirring until cubes begin to toast and turn golden brown. About 5–10 minutes. Once golden brown turn off heat. Sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese. Toss to coat.
Remove croutons from skillet and place on a baking sheet to cool. Cool completely and store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
