- 1 pound pork sausage
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Place the sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook and crumble over medium-high heat until evenly brown.
Add all-purpose flour and mix until combined. Turn the heat down to medium.
Gradually, stir in the milk. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Cook until the mixture thickens, stirring continually. Simmer 10-15 minutes.
If the mixture becomes too thick, add additional milk, a few tablespoons at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
