Easy Cinnamon Cornflake French Toast
Thick slices of French Bread are dipped in a light egg batter, then dipped again in toasted, buttery, crispy, cinnamon sugar-coated Corn Flakes! A wonderful tasty Breakfast Treat!

- 8 Slices French Bread cut 1 inch thick
- 4 Cups Cornflakes
- 2 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 4 Large eggs
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ Cup milk
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil and 2 Tablespoons butter
Place cornflakes in a gallon size Ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin, or in your food processor.
Place crushed cornflakes in a medium size bowl. Add sugar and cinnamon. Mix to combine.
In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt 2 Tablespoons butter. Add cornflake mixture. Toast in melted butter until golden brown and sugar has caramelized.
Remove cornflakes from skillet and place in a large shallow dish.
In another shallow whisk together eggs, vanilla, and milk. Mix until well combined.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil and butter. Preheat.
While the skillet is preheating, place a slice of bread in egg custard batter, soak both sides. Gently press soaked bread into cornflake mixture, coating both sides.
Place coated bread slices in preheated skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides, flipping once.
