  • 1- 14.5 oz can chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup wild rice blend
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 cup white cooking wine
  • 2 large carrots peeled and sliced
  • 3 stalks celery washed and sliced
  • 1/2 cup diced onion OR 1/8 cup dried onion flakes
  • 1/8 tsp ground sage
  • 1/8 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp ground rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic diced
  • 2 cups shredded roasted chicken breast

Instructions

  • Rinse and drain your wild rice. Place all the ingredients with the exception of the chicken into your crock pot. Cook on low heat for 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Add in 2 cups of shredded chicken and cook for an additional 2 hours.
  • Serve with chopped parsley on top if desired.

Notes

You can use raw boneless skinless chicken breast instead of the roasted cooked chicken. If so, place raw chicken in at the beginning of the cook time and cook for the entire 6 hours.
