Delicious Homemade Calzones made with crescent rolls dough, stuffed with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, marinara sauce, and your favorite pizza toppings. Sprinkled with italian seasoning, parmesan cheese, and baked to a golden brown! A fantastic easy meal idea!
2-8 ounce Crescent Dough Sheets, or Crescent Rolls
2cupsMozarella Cheese - shredded
3ouncesPepperoni slices - cut into quaters
1cupbottled marinara sauce
2Tablespoonsmilk
4Tablespoonsbutter-melted
½TablespoonItalian Seasonings
¼cupParmesan Cheese - grated
¼teaspoongarlic salt
Instructions
On a lightly floured surface roll out each sheet of crescent dough to flatten any curled edges. If using crescent roll dough pinch together the perforations to seal the dough.
Cut each sheet into three equal sections for larger calzones, or 6 sections for smaller hand pie size.
In a large bowl combine mozarella cheese, quartered pepperoni, and marinara sauce. Mix until well combined.
Place 2 heaping tablespoons of calzone filling on the center of one half of the dough. Brush the inside edge of each calzone with a little milk. Fold the dough over and press dough down with fingers. Using the tines of a fork, go around the outside edge of the calzone, gently pressing the tines down into the dough.
In a small bowl add melted butter, Italian seasonings, and garlic salt. Brush the top of each calzone with Italian seasoned butter and sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese.
Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Spray bottom of air fryer with cooking spray. Place one calzone in the bottom of the air fryer basket. Bake at 390° for 6 minutes. You can also line the bottom of the air fryer with parchment paper place the calzone in the bottom and bake for 5 minutes at 390°F then flip the calzone over and bake for an additional 3 minutes.
Continue cooking calzones till all the calzones are baked. Cool slightly. Serve with a cup of marinara sauce.

Any additional favorite toppings- italian sausage, bell peppers, canadian bacon, ground beef, olives, etc.
