I love the tastes and smells of Fall! This cake is one of my favorite annual traditions and it started years ago with one of my aprons. That’s right..my Apron! What? Doesn’t your Apron give you delicious cake recipes? Hmmm…maybe mine is magical? Okay it’s not really magical…but this recipe is!
Whats Cooking
This was the first dish I made on my new stove top range “Julia the Grate”! (Shout out to Southwest Appliance! Thank You my new baby!) This beautiful, colorful, flavorful Brooklyn Chicken Penne Pasta dish…is well… “Full” of everything you love about those fresh Italian dishes you find when dinning out…only YOU made it yourself! You’re just going to have to trust me that this is one MUST try recipe! Add it to your weekly meal plan menu today! It’s soooo, so, good!
One question I’m asked a LOT is “What do I serve with…..?” I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. What you pair your main dish with, can determine if it’s “o.k.”, or it’s a… “I’ll be dreaming about this dinner for years!” meal. (Okay… maybe they’ll just dream about it for a day or two, but you get my drift!) These perfectly glazed brown sugar and amaretto carrots go great with a Holiday Ham, Turkey, Prime Rib Roasts, or Pork Tenderloin. In other words…they go with just about any meaty main dish you make. Except Hot Dogs…I shouldn’t even have to say that, but you know who you are! lol
Looking for the perfect Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin for the Fall Festival Bake Sale at the School? Well it’s right here! These muffins are moist and every bite has yummy soft chocolate chips! Seriously one of the best and easiest muffins you’ll make this Holiday season! You have got to try these!
I absolutely love a one pot meal! They’re perfect during busy week nights. A family favorite at our house has always been Chicken and Dumplings. I wanted to change things up a bit so I decided to come up with a quick and easy Creamy Chicken Broccoli soup and do something wild by throwing in cheesy dumplings! I promise this dish is so easy even the newest cook can make this wonderful dish!
I’m ready for big beautiful orange pumpkins, red and yellow leaves, orchard fresh apples, apple cider, and the cool crisp air of Fall! Please dear powers that be…give me the cool crisp air of Fall…and a big thick slice of this amazingly yummy Dutch Apple Pie… with all of the tantalizing flavors this season has to offer!
Sunday dinners seem to call for Roast Beef! I love a good Roast Beef dinner as much as the next person. I just don’t like the mess! I decided I wanted to change it up a bit so I created this luscious Slow Cooker Beefy Gravy and Parmesan Noodle dish. It’s magical…it makes it own gravy! It has all the elements a good family Sunday dinner should have with less pots and pans!
Have you ever added pasta to your green leafy salad? I have and I did, and it’s awesome! Then I added marinated sauteed shrimp, croutons, avocado, and a creamy Caesar dressing to create one amazingly delicious salad. It’s more than salad. It’s a meal!
Growing up Dad always made Country Pork Ribs. I’ll admit…back then I wasn’t a huge fan. Give me a slab of “Baby Back Ribs” any day! However, I decided to give them another try when I spotted a package of them on sale. I’m so glad that I did! What did I do that Dad didn’t? Well you’ll just have to keep reading to find out! Trust me…these will knock your socks off!
I love Labor Day weekend. Not only do we have our “crab and shrimp boil”, but it’s also our small town County Fair. Oh, I don’t go to the fair to see the exhibits, animals, blue ribbons, or ride the rides. I proudly go for the food! That’s right friends! It’s all about the food. My favorite…you’re looking at it…Funnel Cake. Why wait? It’s peach season… the perfect time to pair these beauties up with homemade funnel cake, and a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream! Talk about BLUE RIBBON!!!
