Creamed Turkey ‘n’ Biscuits reminds me of my Dad! Every year after Thanksgiving he would take all the left over turkey “bits” and create this old fashioned meal. It’s pure comfort food and still one of my all time favorite meals. Don’t have any Turkey…that’s okay! You can use his smaller cousin … “chicken” instead!
My Aunt Janie was an AMAZING cook! The first time I had Chicken and Dumplings was sitting at her small kitchen table. It was one of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever tasted. The soup was creamy and full of flavor, the dumplings big and fluffy. Over the years I’ve added a few of my own twists…like herbs, to those big fluffy dumplings. This is a great winter one pot meal that my entire family loves!
I live with a die hard Fisherman! Not only does he love…let me say that again…L.O.V.E. to fish…he loves to eat fish! I don’t think there’s a fish he’s met he didn’t like! So he was extra happy when I whipped up this quick, easy…super easy…tasty Buttered Cod dish! Ready in under 10 minutes from start to finish! It’s a delicious regular “catch” at this Nest!
The Holidays are over and the temps are dropping at the speed of light! Like my Dad used to say “It’s colder than a Well Diggers….”. Well…ya know! (wink-wink) Which means only one thing…it’s time for a big bowl of thick rich hearty stew! One of my favorites is this Easy Slow Cooker Beef Stew..it’s perfect for warming up your insides!
Nothing beats an Old-Fashioned Classic! Unless you top it off with sauteed mushrooms, garlic, and grilled onions! Allow me to introduce you to my version of your Grandma’s Hot Open Face Beef Sandwich with rich savory thick gravy! I know, grown men are weeping for Joy! You’re Welcome!
My version of a Country Classic…Chicken-Fried Chicken in Creamy Country Gravy! Ya know you have a “Winner-winner Chicken Dinner” when the husbands asks if we can have it weekly! Hooray!!! Score one for team Mom! I have to admit…it’s pretty darn tasty!
Brined in an apple citrus brine for 24 hours and then basted in a rich wine butter drenched cheese cloth and baked to perfection! This Thanksgiving Turkey Recipe is truly the BEST! Tender, Moist, and Full of Flavor!
If you’re a lover of Fish and Chips like we are…You’ll love this recipe. Tender chunks of Fish is dipped in a flavorful batter, fried to a beautiful crispy golden brown and served with oven baked fries…and then for fun I threw in battered fried wedges of zucchini…cause why not!
On those days you’re looking for an easy delicious no-fuss meal…this is it! Slow Cooker Three Ingredient Chicken Teriyaki is my new “go-to” meal when I need something quick. It’s filling and flavorful tender chunks of chicken thigh meat served over steamed white rice. You can add vegetables to it or serve it plain.
