Berry season is just around the corner! Soon crisps, buckles, and cobblers will be filling our senses with the wonderful spectacular smells that come from desserts filled with summer fruits! This new cobbler recipe will quickly become a favorite at your nest…just like it has at ours!
Looking for a decadent easy Valentines dessert? How about a thick rich homemade chocolate chip cookie with big chunks of semi-sweet chocolate, a gooey creamy caramel center, topped with more cookie, more chocolate, and coarse salt sound? Serve it with a scoop of vanilla, or coffee flavored ice cream and throw in a few chocolate covered strawberries…all in the name of L.O.V.E.
I rescued a couple of poor little banana’s…like seriously pulled them out of the death clutch of Mr. Nest! He wanted to know what I was going to do with those “icky” ol’ bananas? So I took out my magic wand and made this delicious, moist, and fluffy banana cake with a silky smooth cream cheese frosting…then I just sat back and watched the potential executioner eat three pieces!
What do you do when you have a left over bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter Santa’s after the Holidays? Why you chop them up and make up a batch of these Ultimate Soft and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies! Then you sit back, eat 6-7 cookies, pat your belly, and give a hearty “ho-ho-ho”! The great cookie eater becomes the cookie! Sorry, not sorry, Santa!
One of my favorite cookies as a child are these snowy powder sugar coated “Mexican Wedding Cake” cookies. They’re still a favorite. What’s not to love? They’re a scrumptious buttery shortbread cookie loaded with chopped pecans and rolled in “snow”! Plus…you can actually build a snowman with them…if you try really hard…then you have to eat them all…because you “touched” them! Don’t ask how I know this!
Last Week I hosted a “Virtual” Christmas Cookie Exchange with several of my blogging friends. It was so much fun! Today I’m putting them all together in one place with links to each cookie recipe so you can add them to your Holiday Cookie Platter this year!
I love fresh apricots. I love dried apricots…and I L.O.V.E. apricot jam! You could say I’m an apricot fan. I know…weird. This highly overlooked fruit has a wonderful subtle flavor and texture uniquely it’s own! When dried and cut up… They sparkle like amber gems! That sound so glam! My kids used to call them…monkey ears! Perhaps more accurate? However, that kind of sucks all the glamour out of them. Regardless how you feel about them…these Apricot Almond Bars are a wonderful, super yummy, addition to your Holiday Cookie Tray!
Let the Holiday Baking begin with a Virtual Cookie Exchange! I’m SO excited!! I’m hosting a week long event this week on my social media channels. I’ve invited six amazing blogging friends to share their favorite Holiday Cookie Recipes with ya’ll! I get to go first with my new favorite sugar cookie! They’re quick and easy to make… festive, and full of buttery sugary goodness! Best of all…They’re sure to be Santa’s favorite too!
A couple years ago I made Cherry Cheesecake Dip for a baby shower I was hosting. It was so popular that I decided to change it up a bit for the upcoming Holiday Season and make it a Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake Dip! Just when you think a favorite can’t get any better…you find out it can! This is the perfect dessert dip for this years festivities and I promise it will be the hit of dessert table.
